| - Chatbox Rules:
1: No flaming, insults, or verbal attacks upon another occupant of the chatbox by ANY member at ANY time.
2: Swearing is permitted, unless conflicting with Chatbox Rule #1.
3: Any arguments over a post/topic/action must be taken to PM, unless a staff member gives approval to have it discussed in the CBox.
Note: For those wondering, an occupant of the CBox will display as 'Away' after five minutes, and will automatically Disconnect after Fifteen.
- Registration Rules:
1: Keep an appropriate username.
2: Your username must be the name of your character. This can be changed under "Profile."
3: All characters must start at the lowest level of their race. Exceptions can be made when a specific role crucial to a plot is required. (Keep in mind this may mean your character is destined to die.)
4: Any OC has 10 points to spend between Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence when created.
5: Special abilities, those unique to a character, must be well explained. This is the key to getting your ability approved.
- General Rules:
1. Any action may be argued with. Keep in mind it doesn't make sense to argue about things you're not involved in.
2. Rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks, or flaming attacks to any member are prohibited. Keep it calm, people.
3. Multiple postings (except in the chat) are prohibited. (Repeated postings in a topic.)
4: Deletion of a post in a battle forfeits your action, and allows the opponent to decide how their attack affects you, or your attack effects them.
5. All characters must act off of the original sheet that was approved by the staff.
6. There can be no godmodding of any sort performed by any character, nor can a character be created with any sort of unbreakable weapon or inescapable ability. This can include, but is not limited to: Describing another character's actions, thoughts, feelings or emotions, or performing actions that are outside of your character's range of abilities. (Ex: Don't throw multi-ton chunks of lead if you are a Halfling. Broken weapons can be repaired at a shop of the appropriate level.)
7. Metagaming is not allowed. This can include, but is not limited to: Having your character aware of information they would not logically or could not possibly know, making your character dodge attacks by "coincidence" to the point of absurdity, stumbling upon information or the perfect solution to a problem through sheer luck, etc.
8. Dice Rolls shall only be utilized by Admins, or Edward Whyte, the forum DM.
- Slaughter Points/Practice Points:
1. The number of kills/Official Quests must be recorded in your character's signature if you wish to benefit from the Slaughter Point system. 2. Any player-controlled character killed by a player can be counted as a Slaughter Point. 3. Any Dungeon Master controlled quest assigned to a player (or group of players) will be counted as a Slaughter Point upon completion. (If done as a group, and the objective is completed, all participants shall receive a slaughter point.) 4: A special kind of Slaughter Point, a Practice Point (PP) can be attained when a player-character fights another player-character in an official duel, where neither character dies. This counts as .5 SP, and will be included in one's signature. 5. Each race benefits differently from Slaughter Points, listed below. - Vampires:
Vampire Slaughter Point System: Category F into Category D: 2 player kill/Quests Category D into Category C: 4 player kills/Quests Category C into Category B: 6 player kills/Quests Category B into Category A: 9 player kills/Quests
- Mages:
Mage Slaughter Point System Non-Magi to Dot: 2 player kills/Quests (Would require some effort, no? Any living being can become a mage.) Dot to Line: 1 player kills/Quests (As you would already have experience as a Mage by this point.) Line to Triangle: 3 player kills/Quests Triangle to Square: 6 player kills/Quests Agumented Leveling: (Done with the use of another Square mage and dark magic.) Square to Pentagon: 6 Player Kills/Quests from both Square mages. Only one square mage may receive the leveling.
