Company and Calamity

Desire stands up "I'm sorry, I just thought that you where interrupted" Kyuubi stands, the others rise as well "I don't think I've ever been to a place where time is irrelevant before what's it like?" Desire presses on for information.

"Nobody's ever tired. We sleep simply because we can or like to. Celebrations are a little weird because if for some reason someone feels like having one, there will be one. All in all, it's not too much different from worlds like this one." Balefrost pats the ground, freezing a small patch instantly.

"I do have one question that I would really like to know. If I viewed that world from this world, what would I see? how would that work? If at all?" a small smirk crosses over Desire's face for a second, the scent rises slowly again. Kyuubi looks in the direction of where the mountain was a few minuets ago.

Balefrost doesn't seem to be aware of the smell, but answers none the less. "It depends on where the portal opens up." The smell finally reaches Balefrost and it causes it to sneeze once more. "Pungent odor. You smell that?" Balefrost starts to sway slowly, unknown to it.

"what odor?" Desire cocks her head to one side "I don't smell anything." she takes a quick sniff. Kyuubi shakes his head but smiles, Sky looks down at the ground and plays with the grass with his foot. Desire smiles "do you think it would be possible that you could convince Hyrax to take us there?" she watched Balefrost sway.

Balefrost blinks faster and its eyes twitch ever now and then. "I can probably convince him to allow for a guided tour of a specific area. He isn't too keen on outsiders entering his kiiingdommm." Balfrost seems to slur the last word.

"Well" Desire poses in a thinking position "we are friends of his, you think he'll let us see?" Desire asks, she smiles.

Balefrost goes silent for a moment. "Give me a moment." Balefrost clumsily turns around. "Hyrax! Hyrax!" There is no response. "Oh.. right." Balefrost clears its throat. "Liege wami." Instantly, a massive portal opens. All that can be seen is brick. Hyrax's familiar voice answers. "Yebo, Balefrost? Kuyini ubuza?" Balefrost looks over to Desire and whispers "What is it you ask?"

The Hollow steps up "
Sawubona. Nguwe Hyrax? Sawubona!" the Hollow seems happy, they all look at it in surprise. "J-just tell him we wish to give him a visit." Desire stairs at the Hollow, it wags its long tail.

"Sawubona, umngane wami ezigwedekile! Kuyinto ngempela I. Kuyini udinga?" Hyrax sounds excited to hear the Hollow. "They fisa ukuvakashela. Mhlawumbe wokubuka emfushane?" Hyrax is silent. "Ngicabanga ukuvakashelwa iDemo kwakuyoba into enhle. Just bazi ukuthi uzobe wabukela futhi beholwa nokuvikeleka." The bricks blur. When they refocus, a grassy field can be seen. Balefrost turns to the group. "I hope none of you are of... certain magical alignments." Balefrost walks steps through into the field. The grass is exceptionally tall, going up to just above Balefrost's knees.

"certain..." "magical properties?" they looked at each other confused
"Kungani ukulondeka?" The Hollow asked, everyone just looked at it, they did't understand what it was saying. They all stepped through the portal one after the other, Life rubbed a blade of grass after stepping through, he seemed very interested in the world around him. Kyuubi looked around, hoping to see something that might look familiar. Desire looked around as well but then looked back at the portal. The Hollow, being the smallest out of all of them started to play around in the tall grass, weaving in between large clumps of grass and around everyone.

Balefrost inhales deeply. "Our escorts should be arriving shortly."

"thank you sir Balefrost" Desire turns to him and bows. "for convincing him, I mean." She smiles, the scent fades slightly. Life breaks off the blade of grass he was inspecting and continues to look at it, rotating it occasionally. Kyuubi look at Balefrost "escorts?" he says quietly. Sky looks directly upwards, Shade inspects the portal and looks through to the other side from a distance. The Hollow continues to play around in the grass.

The portal closes. In an instant, two yetis, two cloaked figures and a mammoth manifested around the group. "Just in time." The yetis were armed with clubs. The strange figures did not reveal any weapons. The mammoth simply yawns and blinks in a bored mannerism.

"who are they?" Life asks rolling up the blade of grass and puts it in his inventory. The Hollow stopped and looked up as it sat in front of the mammoth,
"Sawubona umngane wami omkhulu!" it shouts up to it. It is strange for a Hollow to act like this one is now.

"They are the escorts." Balefrost starts to walk away. The yetis emit a grunt and wave for the group to follow.

Sky watches Baelfrost walk away and follows the others. Kyuubi looks back at the Hollow who had begun to follow them as well, constantly stopping and running through the grass and under everyone's feet.

"The great city is ahead." Balefrost throws its arms into the air in a triumphant pose. The two figures chuckle softly.

"did I miss something?" Sky asks looking at the two laughing, Kuubi shrugged and continued walking, Sky walked on the left of Kyuubi. The Hollow walks ahead but stopped, looked back and then continued in a zigzag pattern.

"Don't mind them. They like to mock me." On cue, the two take turns mimicking Balefrost. While a gentle breeze caused the grass to bend in waves, it could not mask the general unease the world imposed. "There! You can see the first sets of houses." In the distance were in fact houses. They seemed to be made of some sort of stone.

"there is a village here?" Desire looked at the houses as they walked forwards. Life looked suprised, Kyuubi just looked. The Hollow stood still as it looked at the buildings. "why do they mock you?" Sky asked.

"It's not a village. It's the entire Rax kingdom. This is merely the outskirts." The figures continue their fun until they notice Life's expression. They begin to mock Life by making faces and gestures in exaggerated mannerisms, despite none of their faces to be seen. The houses draw closer and the sensation of being watched grows apparent.

Life either doesn't notice, care, or is ignoring the mocking. The group looks at the houses getting closer. "a kingdom?!" Desire says, exited, "this place is...full of suprises..." she looks at the buildings, keeping her cool "...isn't it?" her tails sway slightly.

"You think Hyrax was only going to make us commanders?" Balefrost chuckles. They begin to pass the small houses. In the distance, a tower can be seen. "Nearly there. Once we pass this ridge, you'll be surprised by what you see."

"that already started" Sky looked at the buildings and then the tower. "oh really? Will it be a...good suprise or a...bad one..." Desire shifts but remains steady. Kyuubi looks at the tower.
